DALLAS (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â) – American Meat, a documentary that looks at issues surrounding the production of American meat through the eyes of farmers, will be screened at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center Forum. American Meat examines the animal feedlots and confinement operations that dominate the current American industrial system, through the eyes of the farmers in that system. The story shifts to a farm where a family has developed an alternative agricultural model based on rotational grazing and local distribution. The film describes a system in crisis, asking questions about the survival of an industry debating mass production, free range operations, organic products, affordability and sustainability.
