The couple will discuss “staying grounded while rubbing shoulders in the halls of power,” says Rev. Card, a United Methodist Church elder who is on the Board of Governors of Wesley Seminary in Washington, D.C. Her husband, “Andy,” is the second-longest tenured White House Chief of Staff, having served President George W. Bush from 2001-2006 and in senior roles for two other U.S. presidents. He is now president of Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
The informal Q&A-style Colloquium, free and open to the public, will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the Great Hall of Elizabeth Perkins Prothro Hall, 5901 Bishop Boulevard, on the .
