Houstonites: Discover Perkins During Oct. 20 Information Session

We invite all prospective degree and non-degree students or those contemplating a career switch to attend a free information session Thursday, Oct. 20, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston.

DALLAS (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â) – Are you investigating a possible career switch or interested in what a graduate program in theology entails? And did you know one of the nation’s top theology schools has an extension program based in Houston?

 invites all prospective degree and non-degree students to attend Inside Perkins, a free information session scheduled for 5 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at  – 5501 Main St., Houston, TX 77004.

“We are proud to bring the resources of our Perkins program in Dallas and offer it in a convenient manner for our friends in Houston,” said William J. Bryan III, Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Perkins. “Inside Perkins provides prospective students with the opportunity to learn first-hand about the world-class courses Perkins offers here in Houston.”

In addition to a free dinner and tour of the facility, participants will have an opportunity to speak with Herbert Coleman, Director of Recruitment and Admissions at Perkins, and Lisa Beth White, our onsite Student Services Coordinator, to:

  • explore the variety of degree programs Perkins offers;
  • obtain financial-aid information;
  • learn about Community Life at Perkins; and
  • attend part of an actual evening class taught either by , the Albert Cook Outler Professor of Wesley Studies, or , the W.J.A. Power Professor of Old Testament Interpretation and Biblical Hebrew
