Prospective Students Invited to Explore Perkins, Hear Rick Steves Nov. 12

Prospective students considering graduate theological education at Perkins School of Theology will have the opportunity to attend a seminar with TV travel host Rick Steves, enjoy lunch and conversation with two notable agents of social change, and will hear from current students during the Nov. 12 鈥淚nside Perkins鈥 event.

DALLAS (澳门六合彩预测) – Prospective students considering graduate theological education at Perkins School of Theology will have the opportunity to attend a seminar with TV travel host Rick Steves, enjoy lunch and conversation with two notable agents of social change, and will hear from current students during the Nov. 12 “Inside Perkins” event.

Set for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the campus of 澳门六合彩预测, the free exploration and information session is open to all prospective degree and non-degree students.

In addition to receiving a first-hand look at the range of educational opportunities offered at both the Dallas campus and through the hybrid Houston-Galveston Extension Program, prospective students will meet with students and faculty, attend a class, tour the school’s facilities and learn more about admissions and financial aid. Perkins Dean Craig C. Hill will also meet with the group.

During “Inside Perkins,” participants will attend a plenary with Rick Steves entitled, “The Holy Land: The Importance of ‘Dual Narrative’ Travels in Israel and Palestine,” part of the 2019 Perkins Fall Convocation. In addition, prospective students will engage with Fall Convocation speakers Samira Izadi Page, a former refugee and Founder and Executive Director of Gateway of Grace, an organization which mobilizes more than 50 area churches to adopt and assist refugee families as they arrive in North Texas; and Célestin Musekura, President and Founder of African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM) supporting and training pastors and Christian civic leaders in his homeland of Rwanda to teach forgiveness, reconciliation and self-sustainability in the ongoing recovery from the genocide of 1994.

Current Perkins students will also share their own experiences of ministry discernment and graduate theological education selection during the daylong event. Register for the Nov. 12 Inside Perkins event .
