DALLAS (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â) – Perkins School of Theology, in partnership with Life in the Trinity Ministry (LTM), will offer an online Enneagram workshop on December 3-4, 2020, led by instructor Billy Schewee.
The virtual event begins with an evening session on Thursday, December 3, from 6 to 9 p.m., following by an all-day program on Friday, December 4, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is now open.
The Enneagram is a centuries-old tradition that describes nine personality-based approaches (numbered 1-9) to life. Understanding one’s Enneagram type can aid in self-awareness, self-understanding and self-development.
“Focusing on motivation, rather than behavior, the Enneagram helps us discern both our brokenness and our path toward healing,” said Ruben L. F. Habito, Professor of World Religions and Spirituality and Director of Spiritual Formation at Perkins. “By understanding our Enneagram type, we begin a lifelong journey of spiritual work to move toward wholeness and transformation.”
LTM is a non-profit, Christian ministry in Dallas, Texas that provides trained Enneagram instructors. LTM was founded in 1985 by Rev. Joseph Stabile and Suzanne Stabile, an internationally recognized Enneagram Master.
Schewee was introduced to the Enneagram as a teenager and has been a student ever since. He was a member of the first apprentice group that studied under Suzanne Stabile. Schewee holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hendrix College, a Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University, and a Doctor of Education from Dallas Baptist University. Billy’s 15 years of experience in education include roles as teacher, principal, and educational consultant. He has taught enneagram courses at Abilene Christian University, the Texas Annual Conference, Houston Baptist University.
“Billy has a knowledge of the power of the Enneagram as a spiritual tool, an engaging presentation style, and a passion for helping others,” said Habito.
Registration for the two-day workshop is $95 per person. Attendees may receive Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Certificates for an additional $15.
The event is sponsored by the Office of Spiritual Direction at Perkins School of Theology. For more info call 214-768-3664 or email spiritualdirection@smu.edu.
