DALLAS (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â) – A virtual gathering for those considering a vocation of ministry or service is set for Feb. 25 at 12:30 p.m. (Central) with noted preacher and Perkin professor Dr. Alyce McKenzie. The discernment event, entitled “You may be called, if…”, will provide an opportunity for conversation and exploration of the many questions that surround a call to service.
“Following the call does not come without challenges,” said Dr. Margot Perez-Greene, Associate Dean for Enrollment Management at Perkins School of Theology. “We want to connect prospective students with Dr. McKenzie, who has heard the big questions and grappled with the big issues….and will help you do the same.”
Dr. McKenzie, Le Van Professor of Preaching and Worship and director of the Perkins Center for Preaching Excellence at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â, has served as pastor of several churches in addition to her role as professor and author. She has helped train hundreds of individuals for ministry and service and has published extensively on preaching and ‘real-life ministry’.
“You may be called, if…” is free and open to the public. For more information and to register,
