Bridwell Library & Perkins School of Theology Announces A Festival of Form

Bridwell Library of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â Libraries and Perkins School of Theology, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â announces a one-of-a-kind avant-garde festival of music, lectures, artists’ books, poetic performances, and exhibits related to John Cage and his musical world at Bridwell Library’s A Festival of Form: John Cage & the Infinite Human from Monday, March 7th through Wednesday, March 9th, 2022.

Dallas (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â) — Bridwell Library of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â Libraries and Perkins School of Theology, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â announces a one-of-a-kind avant-garde festival of music, lectures, artists’ books, poetic performances, and exhibits related to John Cage and his musical world at Bridwell Library’s A Festival of Form: John Cage & the Infinite Human from Monday, March 7th through Wednesday, March 9th, 2022.

 

The festival will feature composer, Bard College professor, former Village Voice new music critic, and Cage scholar Dr. Kyle Gann, several musical performances of 20th century modernist and avant-garde composers (Schoenberg, Cowell, Cage, Gann and others), and a non-stop 16-hour performance of Cage’s monumental Organ2 / ASLSP (“As Slow As Possible”) in Perkins Chapel, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â campus March 8th—from 6AM till 10PM.
