Why °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â? I transferred to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â because I wanted to join a campus that felt like home and a community. I wanted to be a part of a university that had plenty of opportunities for all majors. I felt that °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â was an institution that had all of this and more, including all the resources and student connections, and I wanted to be a part of it!

What it’s like to be a Mustang: The world changer mindset is one of the biggest signifiers of what it means to be a Mustang. For a transfer student, it can be an isolating experience to move from one university to the other – you miss out on first-year bonding activities during the first days of school. I didn’t know how things typically went, the types of people on campus and what exactly it meant to be a part of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â. Over time, as I began to find my place in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â community, I started understanding how being a world changer is synonymous with being a Mustang. It encompasses being a leader, working toward the greater good and intentionally adopting that mindset of a world changer.

Proudest accomplishment as an °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â student: My proudest accomplishment is how I grew as a person and developed into who I am today. Prior to my experience at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â, I was a non-social, undriven individual who wasn’t involved, hardworking, or – as °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â encourages us to be – a world changer. Coming to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â served as a catalyst for me to change. In my sophomore year, I applied to serve in student organizations, including °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â Student Foundation, and join the greater °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â community. In the process I connected with talented, kind and hardworking individuals who inspired me to change and become a better scholar, a better person and a strong candidate for success as a world changer.
