Theory Camp
Texas Theory Camp
The Texas Theory Camp is a regional conference on pure and applied economic theory held annually in an institution in Texas. The purpose of the camp is to cultivate and foster academic interaction among researchers working in various fields of economic theory in Texas, as well as to provide a forum for economic scholars (in particular young economists) to present their recent research. The First Texas Theory Camp was held at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â in 2012.
The Seventh Texas Theory Camp was successfully held at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â Economics Department on October 20-21, 2018. There were seventeen presentations by scholars from seven participating institutions (Rice, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â, TAMU, UHouston, UT-Austin, UTD, and UT-San Antonio) in the camp. Professor Bart Lipman from Boston University gave a keynote lecture on “Evidence in Games and Mechanisms.”
