Dylan Wolchko, President

Dylan came to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â from Westlake, Texas by way of San Diego, California. He is a senior, pursuing a degree in biological sciences and a minor in art history. In addition to Dedman Scholars, Dylan’s on-campus involvement includes being a member of Sigma Chi and working as a research intern for a publicly traded biotech company, where his poster with off-the-shelf iPSC-derived cancer cellular immunotherapy in conjunction with Harvard Medical School was presented at the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy annual meeting. Dylan also enjoys volunteering for cancer societies, making cards for the elderly, and working in hospice care. He plans on attending medical school after graduation.

Mallory Lorant, Vice President

Mallory is a Pre-Law Scholar, majoring in philosophy and corporate communication and public affairs, with minors in Spanish and law and legal reasoning. She is passionate about her future career as a criminal attorney while also dedicating her time to promoting child advocacy, a cause close to her heart. Her involvement in academic groups on campus extends to the University Honors Program, Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and Hegi Career Leaders. Mallory is also extensively involved on campus beyond academics alone. She is the chair of membership and logistics of Mustangs for Hope, the website coordinator for Student Foundation, and vice president of membership of Delta Gamma. She is looking forward to the rest of her time at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â and is eager to see how her passions and leadership roles will continue to shape her journey.

Ellen Aughenbaugh, Communications Chair

Ellen is pursuing degrees in biology and studio art and a minor in neuroscience. She is a National Merit Scholar, Provost Scholar, Hamilton Research Scholar, Faith and Learning Scholar, and a member of the University Honors Program. Ellen has also received a scholarship from the Meadows School of the Arts for her exemplary painting and drawing portfolio. Ellen is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and Alpha Epsilon Delta, the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society, and she serves as vice president of communications for the Student Organized Art Collective. Ellen is an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Edward Glasscock's cardiorespiratory neurogenetics lab and plans to pursue her Ph.D. in biology after graduating.

Isabella Thrailkill, Communications Committee

Isabella was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She is majoring in biological sciences, Spanish, and human rights and minoring in public policy and international affairs through the Tower Scholars program. Isabella is on the executive board for Mustang Ballroom, Kpop Club, and is president of Loyd Commons. She works in the Dedman College Dean’s suite and is also an undergraduate research assistant. Isabella aspires to either work in industry using her training in biology or attend law school after graduation.

Ashlyne Barringer, Communications Committee

Ashylne, a Denver native, plans to major in economics and world languages, aiming for a career in public policy and international law. She is also considering a minor in either public policy and international affairs or law and legal reasoning. Ashlyne is a Pre-Law Scholar, serves on the board of The Union, which is a group of student leaders selected by °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â’s Office of Development and External Affairs for their outstanding leadership and philanthropic characteristics demonstrated on campus, and competes in mock trial. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school.

Nia Savova, Treasurer

Nia is from Coppell, TX, and is currently pursuing majors in data science, statistics, and computer science with minors in business and mathematics. She is a Provost Scholar, Discovery Scholar, and Data Science Scholar who is actively involved in campus life. Nia serves as president of the Statistics and Data Science Club, programming chair for the Crafts Club, secretary for Spectrum, a saxophonist in the Mustang Marching Band, and a residential assistant at Morrison McGinnis Commons. Nia intends to pursue graduate studies in machine learning and AI, with aspirations to design systems that enhance efficiency, improve user experiences, and drive positive change in sectors like cybersecurity.

 Nadia Mustafa, Senior Social Chair

Nadia is majoring in chemistry and pursuing a minor in business. Nadia is currently the treasurer of Women in Science and Engineering and is a member of Delta Gamma. She is also a member of the University Honors Program and the Robert Stewart Hyer Society. After graduation, she plans on attending medical school.

Jackson Beck, Junior Social Chair

Jackson is pursuing degrees in psychology and English major and a minor in philosophy. He is a dedicated member of the Dedman College Scholars Program and is thrilled to serve on the Student Executive Board. In this free time, Jackson enjoys reading, writing, and playing soccer. Jackson considers himself to be the biggest VFB Stuttgart supporter on this side of the Atlantic. Jackson intends to enter a graduate program for psychology after graduation.

Alexandra Reyes, Sophomore Social Chair

Alexandra grew up in San Antonio, Texas is majoring in geophysics and biochemistry and minoring in physics and mathematics. She is the current secretary for the Women in Science and Engineering organization and volunteers on the leadership team for the Mustang Band, where she plays the trumpet. Alexandra is a McNair Scholar, currently working in a Dr. Stephen Arrowsmith’s research lab studying infrasound propagation. Alexandra plans to pursue a doctorate in planetary science and aspires to work as an astrobiologist for NASA.

Ryland Adzich, Freshman Social Chair

Ryland is a public policy and data science major from Cupertino, California. She currently serves as a research fellow, focusing on human trafficking data – a continuation of her previous work with students in San Francisco. Some of Ryland’s early accolades include receiving a grant from the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â Big Ideas Pitch Contest to support her organization, The Creative Destination: Literacy Spaces in Laundromats, which aims to create mini libraries in laundromats to increase access to high-quality books for students and completing an internship at the California State Treasurer’s Office, where she was recognized for her contributions to developing the Youth Ambassador Pilot Program for a statewide scholarship initiative. After earning her degree, Ryland plans to attend law school with the goal of working in Washington, D.C., where she hopes to join the White House Counsel's office and contribute to public service at the highest levels.
