Anita McBride
Anita McBride served as assistant to President Bush and Chief of Staff to Laura Bush from 2005 to 2009. McBride advised the first lady on a host of domestic and global initiatives, with particular responsibility for issues related to human rights and women's empowerment. She previously served as Director of White House Personnel under presidents Reagan and H.W. Bush. McBride later went on to an advisory role at the George W. Bush Institute in Dallas, TX, a place on the Board of Directors at the White House Historical Association, and an executive-in-residence position at the University of Virginia's Miller Center.
