Highly successful and well-connected Dedman College alumni are happy to help you make the most of your college career and advise you on the best ways to enter into today’s highly competitive job market. There are two programs available for one-on-one interaction with friendly, professional advice.

First- and second- year students

  • Manage your time and get organized

  • Learn how to network

  • Develop a strong work ethic

  • Broaden your repertory of soft skills

  • Understand your strengths and weaknesses to maximize academic and professional success

  • Help with your own particular needs and wants in one-on-one interactions

Juniors and Seniors

  • Expand your network

  • Learn how to seek out experts and benefit from their advice and experience

  • Manage stress and deal with uncertainty

  • Communicate effectively in the workforce

  • Build a strong resume and interview like a pro

  • Interact and learn effectively and professionally on the job to move up quickly

student and alumni

Students will be matched up with a mentor who shares their interests and can address their particular questions and needs. Students and mentors will meet in person and over Zoom with frequencies and specific topics that they will determine in common.
