Rosanne Hart
Rosanne Hart serves as an adjunct professor in the Division of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs, and the Division of Journalism's Fashion Media program. She retired in 2017 from owning The Hart Agency, Inc., a national advertising and public relations agency specializing in fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. With offices in Dallas and New York, she brought national attention to Dallas' fashion industry by producing special sections on local designers for Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Magazine.
Hart has a B.S. in Journalism/Clothing Textiles and Interior Design from Kansas State University and a M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kent State University. She earned a certificate in Social Media and Digital Communications from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â and completed coursework in case study teaching from Harvard Business School. Hart is also a member of the Sustainability in Apparel and Textiles Research Cluster/DII, and has taught in the Master of Liberal Studies program, "The Language of Advertising."
She currently teaches Media & The Business of Fashion (JOUR-3327), Professional Seminar (CCPA-4301), and for Spring 2023, Principles of Public Relations (CCPA-3355).
Her fashion industry case studies have been published in Bloomsbury Publishing's Fashion Business Cases textbook. Passionate about teaching and helping her students "connect the dots," she was nominated for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â's HOPE Professor of the Year award in 2020. Hart remains active in the public relations community to mentor graduates and young professionals in the field. As a member of the Dallas Chapter of PRSA, she chaired the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) committee. She has also served as a board member of Fashion Group International of Dallas.
A long-time Dallas resident, she is the mother of two grown sons, and new grandma to Kash Austin Hart.
