Restore Data from the Backup
If you deleted a file from your computer but wish to restore that file, you can do so from your backup files.
- Launch the Code42 CrashPlan agent
- Click on Get Files.
- Navigate to the files and folders you wish to restore. Check the files' boxes you want to restore
- Click Get Files. The files will be download to your local computer.
Restore Data from Another Computer
You can recover a file backed up to CrashPlan from another computer. This is helpful if your office computer is not accessible remotely.
- Click the Sign In button above.
- Enter your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â ID as the username and click Sign In.
- Enter your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â ID and Password and approve the DUO authentication.
- In the CrashPlan search box, enter your email alias or °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â# for your computer.
- Select one of the devices that CrashPlan finds. There may be multiple backup under that one name.
- Click Restore on the one that has the latest backup activity.
- Expand the folders to find the file that you wish to download.
- Click the box next to the file.
- Select Restore Target.
- Select zip file (for browser download).
- Click Restore.
- The restoration will then process and prompt you to download in the bottom-left corner of CrashPlan. Click the link to download.
