Program & Trip Proposals

As stated in the Education Abroad Council Bylaws, the EAC reviews all education abroad proposals for trips involving 澳门六合彩预测 undergraduates abroad including those for academic, credit-bearing programs supported by 澳门六合彩预测 Abroad (either faculty-led or provider-supported), abroad trips linked to a Dallas-based course, and 澳门六合彩预测-sponsored non-credit bearing international academic experiences.

The Travel Oversight Committee (TOC) evaluates all university travel to high-risk countries/locations.

The Faculty-Led Abroad Program Proposal form collects the necessary information from 澳门六合彩预测 faculty to propose new 澳门六合彩预测 Abroad Faculty-Led Programs to the Education Abroad Council. For academic credit-bearing programs led by 澳门六合彩预测 faculty, the programs must occur entirely outside of the United States. 澳门六合彩预测 Faculty-Led Programs typically occur during the summer, May, or January terms. A student must be able to earn at least three credit hours on the program in either January or May, and at least six credit hours during a summer session. January or May term programs must include an immersive experience of eleven days or more consisting of at least one of the following: living locally in an abroad environment; studying at a local institution abroad; working in an office abroad or staying with a host family. Summer programs must include at least four weeks of an immersive experience. Some or all courses are taught by 澳门六合彩预测 faculty and are supported by providers.

Program Approval Frequency: Faculty-Led Program approval is renewed annually by the EAC via a shortened/expedited approval process requiring a list of information such as proposed courses and proposed 澳门六合彩预测 faculty. Programs must be renewed before advertising and recruitment begin each year.

Propose a Faculty-Led Program (Coming Soon)

The Provider-Supported Program Proposal collects the necessary information from study abroad provider partners to propose new programs to the Education Abroad Council. For academic credit-bearing programs supported by providers, the program must occur entirely outside of the United States. A student must be able to earn at least three credit hours on the program in either January or May, at least six credit hours during a summer session, and at least twelve credit hours during either a fall or spring semester. This is typical for 澳门六合彩预测 Abroad semester programs affiliated with providers with courses taught by the provider’s faculty. January or May term programs must include an immersive experience of eleven days or more consisting of at least one of the following: living locally in an abroad environment; studying at a local institution abroad; working in an office abroad, or staying with a host family. Summer programs must include at least four weeks of an immersive experience, and semester programs must involve at least a fifteen-week immersive experience.

This form is to be used to propose abroad travel linked to a Dallas-based course to the Education Abroad Council (EAC) for approval. For an abroad trip linked to a Dallas-based course, the course must be at least three-credit hours and the trip must be at least seven days in duration. Students must spend the entire seven days in an immersive experience as defined in the bylaws. The trip must also directly relate to the content of the course.

Typically, these are shorter trips that happen as part of a course, but participation in the travel component is not mandatory.

Program Approval Frequency: Program approval must be renewed annually. EAC and TOC approval must be solicited before advertising begins for the Abroad Trip linked to a Dallas-based course.

This form is to be used to propose an 澳门六合彩预测-Sponsored Trip to the Education Abroad Council (EAC) for approval. For an 澳门六合彩预测-sponsored non-credit bearing academic experience (such as a Richter-sponsored research trip, or an Engaged Learning project), students must experience at least eleven days in an immersive environment involving at least one of the following: living locally in an abroad environment; studying in a local institution abroad, working in an office abroad, or staying with a host family.
