Gary R. Clayton is a proven professional executive with over 35 years of experience in business start-up, turnaround, management, marketing, and sales of technology products and services.
Dr. Clayton specializes in helping clients identify well considered eloquent solutions for their particular situations and circumstances by mitigating the cost of conflict. Having owned and operated several successful ventures in technology, food products and service, and healthcare, he is keenly aware of the inherent conflicts in the marketplace and the opportunities for resolution. He has significant mediation experience in conflicts involving business agreements/contracts, finance and property disputes, accident and injury, and family matters. Dr. Clayton has extensive knowledge and experience in the formation and management of technology businesses and has successfully negotiated several multi-million-dollar agreements.
Dr. Clayton currently is a managing director of Negotiate.Pro, a firm specializing in problem (conflict) mitigation and a principal at Polymorphic Solutions Inc. Dr. Clayton is a member of the FINRA, Dallas BBB, and Virginia BBB arbitration panels and has performed well over 100 arbitrations as well as over 100 mediations. As an adjunct instructor, Dr. Clayton teaches mediation and conflict systems in the Simmons School's Dispute Resolution program. He is actively involved in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â’s Department of Dispute Resolution as well as Dallas County’s Dispute Resolution Center (DCDRC) as an arbitrator, mediator, and mediation coach.
Clayton is a graduate of the prestigious Saint Marks Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas where he sat on the board of trustees. He earned a B.S. degree in Applied Engineering Mathematics from University of Colorado School of Engineering, M.S in Operations Research and Engineering Management from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â School of Engineering, M.A. in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â School of Education and Human Development, Psy.D. in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the University of the Rockies, Credentialed Advanced Mediator (CAM) by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, and is a Certified Mediator for elder, civil and family Texas court annexed cases.
Professional memberships include TAM (Texas Association of Mediators), TMCA (Texas Mediator Credentialing Association), and SWCRN (Southwest Conflict Resolution Network).
