About

Dr. Teri Ann Sartor is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Humanistic Sandtray Therapist (CHST). She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University; her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision was earned at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Sartor has provided counseling services to child and adolescent populations in various agencies and private practice settings. Additionally, for the past 10 years she has had the privilege of training and supervising future counselors. She has published five peer-reviewed articles (one national and four international), five book chapters, and an edited book entitled Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling Children and Adolescents.

Dr. Sartor is passionate about professional service, advocacy, and mentoring counselors-in-training. This passion is displayed in her instruction/supervision style and through continuous involvement in the Texas Counseling Association (TCA). She has held numerous leadership roles within TCA including but not limited to serving on the Executive Board as Secretary and Co-Chair of the Public Policy Committee. Currently, she serves as the TCA Liaison to the Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) and is a member on the BHEC Rules & Standardization Taskforce.
