Biographical Note:
David Gordon served as vice chair of the National Intelligence Council from 2004 to 2007, during which he led the council's integration into the new Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Prior to 2004, Dr. Gordon served as Director of the CIA's Office of Transnational Issues, an office that worked on a broad range of national security and foreign policy issues. In the 1980s, before he began work in the government sector. Dr. Gordon earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and pursued an academic career, with appointments at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, the College of William and Mary, Princeton University, Georgetown University, and the University of Nairobi.
