Biography
John Evers has 40+ years experience in industry, primarily as a Lead Systems Engineer / Program Manager on various system development efforts, both defense and commercial, spanning system concept, design, test and life cycle support of systems. He has experience on a range of system types, including vehicle-level systems, multi-sensor and RF systems, software-intensive systems, business processes, multi-chip modules, construction, warehouse systems, and production and test systems.
John is a retired Navy Commander (21 years Reserves, Civil Engineering Corps and Engineering Duty Officer); he led the development of the Navy’s initial Lean Six Sigma Black Belt curriculum. He is currently the Chair of SAE International’s G-47 Systems Engineering Committee, and is a contributor to multiple standards including SAE1001, AS6500, EIA731_1, EIA731_2, IEEE 15228.1 and IEEE 15288.
