Make-Up and Extended-Time Test Proctoring

The Teaching and Technology Center in Clements Hall 234 offers an exam proctoring service for students enrolled in World Languages and Literatures courses who need to make up exams, quizzes, or compositions, or have DASS accommodations.

WLL faculty who wish to use this service will need to submit a completed  along with a copy of the assessment (if it is to be completed with pen/paper) and any other necessary materials (such as audio files, if there is a listening component to the exam). Exams will be delivered to faculty mailboxes as soon as they are completed, or by the following day if taken during the evening. Forms and exams can be dropped off in person (Clements 234) or sent by email to acabot@smu.edu.

The Tech Center also offers live proctoring for online assessments in Canvas. For online assessments, the Respondus Lockdown Browser access code should be included on the exam form. More information on Lockdown Browser settings can be found here

Once a make-up exam is on file, faculty can direct students to go to the Tech Center with their student I.D. to make up their assignment during any of our open hours (no reservations are needed).
