Year I joined Office of Admission: 2021
Favorite thing about °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â: The opportunities! Whether you are a student looking for an education or a staff member for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â, the opportunities to learn, grow, and experience new things is never ending. Everyone here wants to see each other succeed, and that kind of support is simply unmatched.
Favorite place on campus: The Hughes-Trigg Student Center is definitely one of my favorite places to hang out in. Since it has been renovated, it has allowed our students to thoroughly enjoy some of the great things °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â has to offer, such as innovative study/meeting spaces and fantastic food options like Panera. I love seeing the students hard at work, hanging out with their friends, or making conversation with some of our Dining Services staff members. If there is any place that can best capture °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â’s vibe, it is the Hughes-Trigg Student Center!
Favorite place in Dallas: As someone who was born and raised in Dallas, this is hard! But if I *have* to choose a place, it would probably be Fair Park, because it is home to the famous State Fair of Texas and Big Tex himself! Every year, Dallas is honored to host the Texas State Fair which has an incredible amount of activities and amusement rides- good luck getting to them all! By far the best thing about the Texas State Fair is the good people and GREAT food.
What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: There are so many fun and unique things to do in Dallas, such as visiting Deep Ellum or the Perot Museum in the Arts District. What I definitely recommend is visiting the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Whether you want to snap a pic for social media or simply immerse yourself into all of the beauty nature has to offer, the Dallas Arboretum is absolutely stunning and a people-pleaser for all ages. It is always worth a visit regardless of what time of year it is- it even has the Martha Stewart stamp of approval!
