Favorite thing about °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â: One of my favorite things about the University is the strong sense of community, even from a distance. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â makes you feel connected no matter where you are, whether it’s through professional development opportunities, networking with alumni, or the commitment to student success. The passion and energy of the Mustang spirit are truly contagious, and I love how °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â fosters both academic excellence and personal growth. The blend of tradition and innovation creates an environment where people thrive, and that’s something I’m proud to be part of.

Favorite place on campus: I absolutely love the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â campus, but if I had to choose a favorite spot, it would be the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Not only does it offer incredible resources and exhibits, but it’s also a beautiful, peaceful space to take a break and reflect. The outdoor gardens and walking paths around the library are perfect for a quiet moment in nature, and the museum itself is a testament to leadership and history. It’s a place that always leaves me feeling inspired whenever I visit.

Favorite place in Dallas: When you’re homesick for Georgia’s Chattahoochee or Lake Lanier, or if you’re a paddleboarding Floridian like me who loves beautiful sunsets over calm water, or you like to watch the sailboats sharing waves with pelicans, swans, and ducks, head to White Rock Lake to study, run, bike and find serenity in quiet nature. You’ll find peaceful moments on the trails, or you can paddleboard to a quiet cove to take it all in. It’s a slice of calm amidst the city, perfect for when you’re missing the natural beauty of home.

Favorite restaurant near campus: Desperados is a fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant close to campus. It’s an authentic, family-run restaurant rooted in showcasing the culinary diversity of Mexico while also serving untraditional twists and modern favorites like their famous Desperados tacos. To satisfy your sweet tooth, stop by Chocolate Secrets – a dessert gem that offers handmade gourmet chocolates and lively open mic nights.

What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: As someone based in Florida, I always appreciate places that bring a sense of adventure and exploration. In Dallas, I highly recommend visiting the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. It’s a stunning spot with beautiful landscapes, perfect for a peaceful walk or to relax with a good book. The vibrant gardens and serene atmosphere can remind you of Florida’s lush nature, and the views of White Rock Lake from the gardens add a calming touch. It’s the ideal place to unwind and soak in the beauty of the outdoors while you’re in the city.
