Year I joined the Office of Admission: 2023
Favorite thing about °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â: The diversity of the student body and the students themselves, as well as the beautiful campus and sense of community. Everyone has a story and their own experience creating a unique and positive culture when they meet at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â. Students can get involved from Day One, including more than 200 clubs and organizations to be a part of. Strong traditions and history, as well as the tremendous support of faculty, staff and our great alumni network help make °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â a great place to be. Also, the strong connection that °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â has with the city of Dallas – located just a few short miles from downtown, students have access to all of the amenities of a large city, including the arts, entertainment, restaurants, music, sports, great restaurants, and shopping. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â truly is a hidden gem within the big city!
Favorite place on campus: It’s difficult to pick just one favorite place because each building has its own personality and uniqueness, all while sharing the tradition and values of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÔ¤²â. The architecture and landscape on campus is just beautiful, and if you’re an art-lover like myself, be sure to check out the Meadows Museum of Art, housing one of the largest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain.
Favorite place in Dallas: My favorite place is seeing something new and different! Dallas offers so much and there’s always something to do, whether it’s the museums, beautiful parks, including running and biking trails and lakes (yes, there are great parks in and around the big city!), checking out a concert, attending a professional sports game (NBA-Mavs, WNBA-Wings, NHL-Stars, MLB-Rangers, NFL-Cowboys), cheering on the Mustangs on our campus, or visiting the State Fair of Texas in the Fall – there is so much on my list that I’m excited to explore every time I visit Dallas and am on campus!
What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: Go check out the museums in and around the city, like the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum (on campus!), the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas. The city offers the nation’s largest urban arts district downtown! Also, you’ll find great restaurants of all types, no matter what you’re craving. With so many amazing food options in the area – just ask anyone when you’re on campus and you’ll probably get a different delicious recommendation!
